The PMEAA Programme is an institutional programme under the supervision of MINPMEESA. It follows the Cameroonian Government's commitment to promote agricultural entrepreneurship and its sector, which is considered a source of employment and a strategic pillar for poverty reduction.
The objective of the PMEAA Program, the subject of Agreement No. CCM 1266 01 N of 3 July 2015 between the Republic of Cameroon and the French Development Agency is the development of production, processing and marketing activities of agricultural products through non-financial support for SMEs in rural areas.
Les objectifs spécifiques du Programme sont les suivants :
• Improve the information of economic and institutional actors in the sector, in the targeted production basins, through the continuous production of techno-economic data on the main sectors;
• Improve access to credit for SMEs, by better matching the offer of financial products and their needs;
• Develop the management capacities of SMEs, by promoting a local offer of training and non-financial services adapted to the reality of these SMEsAA.
The Cameroonian government sector concern with the importance of access to finance for the rural population, has set up the Rural Microfinance Support Project (PADMIR). Thus, the purpose of this structure is to facilitate the access of the rural population to financial services adapted to each situation. Two factors
contribute to the democratization of sustainable financing: the supply and demand for tailor-made financial services and products. Improving the banking of the rural population and the performance of microfinance structures are part of the objectives that we want to achieve.
These challenges can only be realized with the help of all the partners of this project.
AGRICULTURAL MARKET INVESTMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (AMIDP) is a pioneering tool at the service of second-generation agriculture in Cameroon, for three speculations with high nutritional, commercial and economic potential: maize, cassava and sorghum. AMIDP works to boost the supply and added value of maize, cassava and sorghum to enable them to meet the needs of agribusiness. It is indeed a question of promoting production in quality and quantity to satisfy the market and to improve the incomes and daily lives of producers gathered in cooperatives in the five agro-ecological zones of Cameroon.
