The SOCIETE FINANCIERE AFRICAINE (SOFINA SA) is a second category microfinance institution, which originated from the great crisis of the 1980s, which resulted in the bankruptcy of many national and international banks. In order to be guarantor of the new vision that the states wanted to give to the financial institutions, the AFRICAN FINANCIAL SOCIETY opened its doors on May 5, 1997. Today, it has more than 50,000 clients (individuals, small and medium enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses and associations) present in 8 regions of the country and distributed in 22 agencies, financial services tailored to their needs.
